Abstract
Recommended safety practices for observing cattle in aquatic environments without approaching livestock, entering water, trespassing, or compromising animal welfare.
Safety First
Do not approach livestock. Do not enter water. Do not trespass. Documentation is never more important than animal welfare or observer safety.
Observation Practice
Observe from a safe distance. Record time, location, water type, behavior, and weather. Photograph only when safe and preserve wider context when possible.
Submission Notes
Reports should state what was seen, what was not seen, and what remains uncertain. Moderator review will handle classification.
