StickyMod Note
Mod note: talk is fine, case numbers are separate. If you have new evidence, link the file or make a new report instead of burying it on page six.

Case file is up again because every few months somebody rediscovers 0001 like an attic curse and starts DMing me for the exact lake.

Lorida, Florida is the public location. No, still no, you do not get the lake name. The witnesses asked for shielding. That is not ARG lore, that is privacy. You are not meant to solve the lake like a crossword.

What matters: grouped cow-shaped subjects, middle-lake water, calm posture, partial submersion, no rescue situation, two witness notes written apart from each other, both using the same awful little phrase: standing there like the lake had a floor.

And yes, the head turn still bugs me. Logs do not do that. Manatees do not look like that. Cows on the far bank do not make a boat go quiet all at once. I know how this sounds, spare me, I have been hearing myself for five years.

Mod note is pinned below. Evidence and classification only. Property guessing gets nuked.

I said calm. I meant calm.

Moderator note: SCAR-0001 stays confirmed. The public file is thin on purpose and the private file is not a treasure map. Stop DMing me lake guesses like you invented geography.

The calm is the part people keep skipping. Distressed cow in floodwater is an animal welfare event. Calm cow occupying a lake is a classification problem. Annoying difference, but it is a difference.

I still think the old photo crop did this case no favors. The wide context is why it works. The crop alone makes people invent shoreline that isn't there.

wide shot first. zoom after.

For the thirtieth time, the shoreline in the wide shot is not cropped out because we 'hid' it. It is withheld because the property is private.

The published file has enough context for classification and not enough for trespassing. That is the balance. nobody is owed a treasure map.

I used to think location shielding was overkill and then somebody tried to identify a creek from a reflection. I recant. People are too online.

yes i know about manatees

The part that still bugs me is not the thumbnail. It's two people writing the same weird middle-water/calm-hold thing separately. People fake photos badly; they do not usually fake boring posture language this cleanly.

Occupying water, not crossing. That is the sentence. I have typed it so often my phone probably thinks it's my legal name.

The route into the lake is still the missing tooth. Every re-review pokes it and everyone acts surprised it hurts.

context supports. it does not drive.

Old rural paths vanish from maps faster than people admit. A weird lake route in 2021 might have been a normal cow route in 1991. irritating but possible.

Exactly. Cows remember paths humans stopped maintaining. The animal is not paranormal just because the fence guy got lazy.

I am not saying paranormal. I am saying calm in lake. Please stop sanding the weird part off just because it makes the file awkward.

Keep it on the file, not the driveway. Two road-name posts were removed. I am not watching this board turn into a scavenger hunt with worse shoes.

SCAR-0004 is why I keep reading 0001. The calm posture pattern repeats, but the return path is clearer in the reservoir case.

if the route changed, write it down

Good comparison, but don't smash them together just because both make your stomach do the thing. 0001 is confirmed for presence. 0004 is still a sequence argument.

I still have the pre-migration thumbnail from the old attachment table. It proves nothing except that the old theme made every serious file look like a coupon site.

I have the screenshot somewhere

The old thumbnail matters only because it shows the witness did NOT invent the calm posture later. Same language, same cow, same uncomfortable lake vibe. Do not make me dig up page 14.

Please do not dig up page 14. Page 14 is where someone compared the cow to a pontoon and everyone got stupid for three days.

since new people are in here again: 0001 is not confirmed because the photo is magic. it's confirmed because the photo, witness notes, and timing all fail to contradict each other in the same useful direction.

witness a described grouped cow-shaped subjects holding low in middle water. witness b wrote a separate note later and used almost the same posture language without being prompted. the old thumbnail showed enough lake relation to rule out the worst 'brown thing near blue thing' objections. then the private file kept the wider frame and location context where mods could see it.

that is why the public page can be limited and the case can still be confirmed. public proof and review proof are not always identical bc privacy is a thing. this has been true since before kyle found the quote button.

water first. story second.
