Could open-world pathfinding explain the original event?

Before this turns into page seven of people yelling 'simulation' at each other: file this as route theory with a big pencil mark.

SCAR-0001 has the same feeling as an animal pathing into a place the map assumed was blocked. Wrong side of fence, wrong side of waterline, calm as anything.

Maybe that is just livestock. Maybe it is a boundary problem. Maybe I played too much San Andreas in 2005. Either way the useful question is boring and practical: when ordinary pasture logic fails, do we record route anomaly as a field note?

Speculation gives better questions before it gives answers. How did it get there? Why did it stay? What boundary did the cow ignore that we thought mattered? That's it. That's the post.

The route theory is useful until somebody starts capitalizing Simulation. Lowercase weirdness, please. Keep it boring enough to survive daylight.

Also livestock will absolutely use the dumbest possible route if it saves four steps. Saying that as someone who has repaired the same gate twice because a cow found a mud shortcut.
