Sea cows spotted in GTA 6 trailer - frame review thread

Mod Note
Mod note: talk is fine, case numbers are separate. If you have new evidence, link the file or make a new report instead of burying it on page six.

Putting this here because the front page is trailer soup and ThreadSweeper is two duplicate threads away from becoming weather.

Frame 0:47 has a cow-ish lump too far off the bank. Could be a cow. Could be a rock. Could be Rockstar's swamp intern accidentally writing the funniest footnote this board has ever had.

If someone sends a SCAR form with a YouTube timestamp I am printing it out and putting it in Todd's mailbox. Frame review only. Wide shot first. Crops after. We already survived the trash can incident and I refuse to go back.

context supports. it does not drive.

Already saw one report form titled ROCKSTAR KNOWS. Todd, if that was you, blink twice at your webcam and apologize to the form.

Timestamp 0:47 looks like a cow, yes. It also looks like three pixels wearing a hat. I am begging for frame numbers before claims.

Synthetic-environment analysis is fine. Turning it into evidence is how we get mocked by sites with worse fonts than ours, and I refuse to lose a font war.

Frame 0:47 looks like either a cow, a rock, or the trailer compression personally attacking this forum. I am mad that all three are plausible.

The main board has three trailer threads already and one of them says PROOF in the title. I am aging in browser tabs.

one thread would have been enough

Merged the duplicate trailer threads. If you start another one, I will replace your title with 'I did not read.'

Open-world games love putting animals on edges because edges are where the map looks alive. also cows near water just look wrong enough that your eye snags on them. annoying design truth.

water first. story second.

if we make a GTA tag, Kyle will use it as evidence in an argument by Thursday. I am not emotionally prepared for that.

I paused at 0:47 and saw either a cow, a bench, or my sleep debt. Submitting myself as unverified.

Compression is doing half the work in those screenshots. If your proof has to be enlarged 800 percent, your proof is tired.

wide shot first. zoom after.

the funniest outcome is Rockstar accidentally making the most accurate public education material we have, which would be bad for everyone here personally.

please do not give them credit yet. the blob might be a bench and I refuse to become a bench truther.

flat water carries too much

fair. official position: funny, suspiciously on-brand, probably nothing, emotionally damaging.

Pinned this because otherwise we are getting four more red-circle threads by lunch. Do not email screenshots to the report inbox. Really.

Thank you. The inbox had one subject line that just said 'ROCKSTAR KNOWS' and I need the day to stop doing that.

one thread would have been enough

Looks like a cow to me. You all demand evidence until evidence has polygons.

asking questions is illegal now I guess

Kyle, if your next report source is 'polygonal feeling' I am changing your rank again.

The interesting bit is not whether the trailer cow is real. Obviously it is not. The interesting bit is why every media cow near water makes half this room sit upright like somebody opened chips.

I have the screenshot somewhere

actual take after sleeping on it: i do not care if the trailer blob is real. obviously it is fake game stuff. i care that everyone in here saw one cow-ish shape near water and immediately started doing the old board squint.

that means the image works. cow near water is ordinary until it is not. if the animal is close to shore, nobody cares. if it is a little too far out, suddenly twelve adults are pausing a video game trailer like it owes them money.

so yeah, it is probably nothing. also yeah, it accidentally explains why witnesses say dumb-sounding things like 'it was just standing there' and then get defensive. the distance is the joke and the point.
